Bingwit (“we”, “us”) is a community app for anglers operated by Innovexa. This policy explains what information the Bingwit mobile app and this website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written for the product as it ships today: catch posts, maps, chat, tournaments, marketplace, boats, resorts, and rewards.
1. Information you provide
When you create an account or use Bingwit, you may give us:
- Account details: full name, email address, and password.
- Profile details: city or location, fishing style, and a profile photo.
- Catch posts: photos, species, weight, length, captions, and optional spot information.
- Messages you send to other anglers in chat.
- Marketplace activity such as product reviews, wishlists, and vendor store information if you sell gear.
- Tournament registrations, boat booking requests, resort reviews, and reports you submit about other users or content.
2. Information we collect automatically
The app talks to our API to load your feed, map, notifications, rewards, and similar features. That includes technical data such as device identifiers used for signed-in sessions, timestamps, and basic diagnostics needed to keep the service running. This website may log standard server request data (for example IP address and browser type) to operate and protect the site.
3. Photos and camera
Bingwit asks for camera and photo-library access so you can attach catch photos. We do not use the microphone. Photos you post can be seen by other people in the community according to how that post is shared in the app.
4. Location and the fishing map
You can add fishing spots and see nearby catches or anglers on the map. Spot pins and related map content you publish may be visible to other users. We only collect location-related data that you choose to attach to a post or spot, or that you type into your profile.
5. How we use information
We use this information to:
- Create and secure your account, and sign you in.
- Operate the feed, map, tournaments, leaderboards, marketplace, chat, boats, resorts, forecast, rewards, and notifications.
- Show your public profile, catches, and ranking to other anglers.
- Moderate reports, block lists, and community safety tools.
- Improve reliability and fix bugs.
6. How we share information
Profile details and catch posts you publish are visible to other Bingwit users. We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with infrastructure providers that host the API and media files, and when required by law. Tournament organizers and marketplace vendors only see what they need to run those features (for example, that you registered or reviewed a product).
7. Retention
We keep account and content data while your account is active. If you delete a catch, a review, or your account, we remove or anonymize the associated personal data except where we must keep a record for safety, fraud, or legal reasons.
8. Your choices
You can update your profile in the app, unfollow or block other users, and report content. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data on our Delete your account page, even if you are not signed in. You may also withdraw camera or photo permission in your device settings; some posting features will then be unavailable.
9. Children
Bingwit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can delete it.
10. Security
We use signed-in API sessions and industry-standard transport encryption in production. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and do not share it.
11. This website
This marketing site describes the Bingwit app and hosts our legal pages. It does not require an account. If we add analytics or cookies later, we will update this policy.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as Bingwit grows. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent through the Bingwit app (More) or via the support channel listed on our app store page. The product is operated by Innovexa.
