If you would like to delete your Bingwit account and associated personal data, submit a deletion request using the form below. This page is provided for Google Play’s account-deletion requirement and for anyone who can no longer open the app.
How to request deletion
- Enter the email address on your Bingwit account.
- Optionally include your Bingwit user ID if you know it.
- Confirm that you want the account and associated data deleted.
- Submit the form. You will see a confirmation on this page.
We will look up the account internally. For security, the confirmation does not tell you whether that email is registered.
What happens after you submit
Submitting this form does not delete your account immediately. It creates a deletion request for Bingwit administrators. We typically complete requests within 30 days. When we process a request we remove personal data from the live service and revoke signed-in sessions so the account can no longer be used.
Information we delete
When a request is processed, we delete or anonymize:
- Account profile: name, email, password, photo, bio, location, fishing style, and social login identifiers.
- Catch posts you created, including photos.
- Comments, likes, and follows.
- Direct messages you sent or received.
- Notifications, wishlists, product reviews, and resort reviews.
- Fishing spots you added and spots you saved.
- Blocks and group posts or memberships.
- Access tokens and sessions so the app can no longer sign in as you.
Information we may retain
Some records are kept without your name or email so other anglers’ history and our legal/accounting records stay intact:
- Tournament registrations and day boards — kept under “Deleted User” so past competitions remain complete.
- Boat bookings — kept as an anonymized trip record; personal notes are removed.
- Rewards transactions, star gifts, gear donations, merchant gifts, and reward redemptions — retained as anonymized ledgers for fraud, fulfillment, and accounting.
- Safety reports — retained as needed to investigate abuse.
Vendor store accounts are separate from angler accounts. Submitting this form does not close a Bingwit vendor store that uses the same email.
Retention period
Personal data in the live app is removed when we process the request, usually within 30 days. Anonymized competition, booking, and ledger records may be kept for as long as those features and our legal obligations require. Backups may hold residual copies until they rotate, typically within 90 days.
